Previous CFCS Funding Rounds

Round 10

With USD 7.5 million available for Round 10 of the Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS), the Stop TB Partnership supported 77 organizations across 27 countries and 7 regions to advance community-led TB responses. This funding, made possible through the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Global Fund, has empowered grassroots initiatives led by people affected by TB.

These grants enabled communities and civil society organizations to monitor and implement key actions toward achieving the targets set in the UN High-Level Meeting (UNHLM) Declaration on TB. They also addressed critical gaps highlighted in the "A Deadly Divide: TB Commitments vs. TB Realities" report, ensuring that TB responses are truly community-driven and responsive to local needs.

Informed by national strategic plans, assessments of barriers to services, and OneImpact community-led monitoring, CFCS Round 10 grantees helped countries integrate and scale up transformative interventions, including:

  • Ensuring meaningful engagement and leadership of TB-affected communities in all aspects of the TB response to meet their needs and priorities.

  • Enhancing social accountability to accelerate progress toward UN TB targets and commitments by 2022.

  • Mobilising and supporting efforts for the successful organisation of the 2023 UN High-Level Meeting (UNHLM) on TB to sustain political commitment and accountability.

  • Supporting community-led COVID-19 recovery efforts within National TB Programs, ensuring stronger, more resilient health systems.

By amplifying the voices of affected communities and driving accountability, CFCS Round 10 has strengthened locally led solutions and reinforced the critical role of civil society in the fight to end TB.
