Round 10 grantees
With USD 7.5 million available for Round 10 of Challenge Facility for Civil Society, STBP supported 77 organizations from 27 countries and 7 regions to advance community-led, rights based and gender transformative responses in TB. This is with support from the United Stated Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Global Fund.
Grants supported regions and countries to monitor and implement key actions to achieve the targets and commitments made in the UN High-Level Meeting Declaration on TB and called for by Communities in A Deadly Divide: TB Commitments vs. TB Realities, with a focus on grassroot initiatives led by people affected by TB.
Informed by National Strategic Plans, National CRG Action Plans, Community, Rights and Gender (CRG) Assessments and OneImpact Community-led Monitoring, countries, with the support of CFCS grants, integrated and scaled-up innovative CRG interventions to:
- Ensure the engagement and leadership of people affected by TB in all aspects of the TB response so that the needs and priorities of communities are met.
- Enhance social accountability to attain the United Nations (UN) TB targets and commitments by 2022.
- Mobilize and support efforts to organize a UN High-Level Meeting (UNHLM) on TB in 2023 for ongoing accountability.
- Support community-led COVID-19 recovery efforts of National TB Programmes to build back better.
