CFCS Round 12

Successful Applicants Announced on the Sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York

The Stop TB Partnership is proud to announce that 114 organizations from 38 countries across 6 regions have been selected for funding under Round 12 of the Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS). This milestone was unveiled during a Stop TB Partnership side event at the UN General Assembly in New York on September 20, 2023, by the Partnership’s Executive Director, Dr. Lucica Ditiu, alongside distinguished guests, including dignitaries, donors, community representatives, and key stakeholders.

With US$ 13.5 million in available funding—thanks to the generous support of USAID and L’Initiative, implemented by Expertise France — CFCS Round 12 marks the largest-ever global investment dedicated to people affected by TB and local community organizations. These grants aim to:

  • Strengthen community engagement in the TB response.

  • Mitigate barriers to accessing quality TB services.

  • Enhance accountability through community-led monitoring.

  • Drive demand, ambition, and political will for greater investment and innovation to end TB.

The Stop TB Partnership received an overwhelming 406 applications, reflecting a US$ 41 million demand for funding. After rigorous evaluation by an external review committee, 114 organizations were selected based on available resources. Round 12 will also feature a dedicated technical assistance package to strengthen TB survivor networks and enhance their engagement at national, regional, and global levels. Despite this historic level of investment, unmet quality demand remains high at US$ 12.9 million, underscoring the urgent need for continued funding to support community-led TB initiatives.

The Stop TB Partnership warmly welcomes the organisations selected under Round 12 and looks forward to collaborating over the next 12 months to drive progress in the fight to end TB. The full list of successful organizations can be found below:
