Civil Society Award
Since 2016, the Stop TB Partnership has given an annual Civil Society Award to recognize significant contributions to the TB response by TB-affected communities and civil society in community mobilization for human rights, community-led monitoring, grassroots peer support, and TB/COVID-19 advocacy and engagement.
The theme for the 2020 Stop TB Partnership TB-Affected Community and Civil Society Award focused on recognizing the achievements of TB-affected communities and civil society in overcoming the obstacles of the COVID-19 pandemic to champion TB at the global, regional, or national level.
In 2021, Stop TB Partnership was pleased to partner with Humana People to People Foundation in awarding Survivors Against TB (India) and TB Proof (South Africa) for their incredible efforts in championing TB and working to reduce TB stigma, discrimination and related barriers to accessing TB services.
The Stop TB Partnership is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 community award, a global recognition celebrating groundbreaking efforts to address TB stigma through creative arts. This year, the award with the largest financial prize designed specifically for TB communities received 32 submissions from 28 countries, showing the power of innovation and community-driven solutions.
This annual award is possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Humana People to People Foundation and the Stop TB Partnership.
