Stop TB Head and TB Champion raise awareness of link between TB and AMR

In mid-November, Dr Lucica Ditiu, Executive Director of the Stop TB Partnership and Naomi Wanjiru, Nurse and TB Champion spoke to Voice of America (VOA) about the interlinkages between Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB), the impact of MDR-TB has on communities and individuals, action needed to prevent further escalation of an MDR-TB crisis; and the recent findings from the 2023 WHO Global TB Report.
