Organization Description:
Antrum Biotech is a University spin-off company that is fully focussed on the development of diagnostic tests for infectious diseases particularly affecting populations living in poverty. We have extensive experience in the field of tuberculosis and recognised nationally for taking research through to innovation (winners of the National Science and Technology awards).
Our flagship products are extra-pulmonary TB diagnostic tests. The IRISA-TB test has been recently launched and clinically validated across a number of countries. We plan to launch a number of other innovative diagnostic tests to rapidly diagnose and treat patients, hence contribute to the control of TB.

We are working with the National Health Laboratory Service as well as other private laboratories to introduce the IRISA-TB test as a standard diagnostic for the difficult to diagnose extra-pulmonary TB.

TB Care Delivery:
We work with the Free of TB Partnership to deliver training on TB to community health workers, nurses and patients

New Diagnostics:
We have been working on the development of new diagnostic platforms and biomarker discovery for the past 10 years and will continue to do so in the future until such time as the goals of limiting TB have been reached.

Research:
We carry out basic science research together with local universities
