Organization Description:
1. MYROi started as a youth organization. It was established in 1983 as a school-based student organization and formally evolved as a non-government organization formed by its professional or alumni members, to capacitate human resources as a catalyst in the fulfillment of one’s duties to God towards the attainment of sustainable peace and development for the establishment of humane society. It was organized with the broad concept of helping to prepare the youth for responsible leadership and initiating alternatives to accelerate development of its people and cooperating in the different interventions, relevant, meaningful and responsive to their needs and aspirations so that they may take the lead in engendering genuine growth and prosperity in Mindanao and in the country.
MYROi field of expertise on human resource development, protection (children, gender based violence, human rights), education, health and nutrition, water and sanitation, capacity building, advocacy, peace building, infrastructure, and psychosocial services.
2. MYROi being its presence in the hard to reach areas, good networking, and was an implementing partner of PBSP on their Phase II TB Grant funded by Global Fund, it was found out that a lot of people infected with TB and the persistence of multi-drug resistant are at large and lack of and no access to quality TB services.
3. Currently, MYROi is the implementing partners of UN agencies and INGOs in natural disaster and conflict-affected areas in the Philippines in providing support with the government in ensuring access to health care services, MYROi integrating TB awareness and advocacy in all aspect of implementation. Plan to strengthen and establish referral mechanism in hard to reach remote areas mostly indigenous people and Muslim populated, to prison, camps, and schools, capacitate and organize the community and advocacy for policy, program, and media. establish a one stop shop for easy access of free of charge TB services in the community without causing delay, or transportati

Being the active member of Health Cluster in the Philippines and an active member of UN Agencies and INGOs operating in Philippines implementing Health services in humanitarian and developmental settings and recently being partner Sub-Recipient of Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP)under Global Fund, MYROi (Muslim Youth Religious Organization, Inc)is closely coordinating with local National TB Program in referring and monitoring TB patients being referred by our organized group in target areas. TB awareness and advocacy are always been part of our deliverable in ensuring access to health care services projects funded by UN agencies, INGOs and local partners.

TB Care Delivery:
Establishing referral mechanisms, link between the community organized groups to Health Facilities provding DOTS services

Drug-Resistant TB:
Facilitate the lobbying of MDR patients to Local Government Units for financial support. ( PMDT centers are too far

Laboratory Strengthening:
Most of the laboratory has lack or insufficient manpower supply

New Diagnostics:
The new machine used to diagnose TB (gene expert) is not available in far and remote areas or to be specific none of it or few is available in mostly in Central Mindanao
