The Stop TB Partnership is organizing and co-hosting a series of side meetings around the conference on the Friday, 17 November 2023 at the L'Hôtel du Collectionneur, in Paris.
 

Event: Re-Imagining TB Care Collaborators Group workshop

Time:  09.00 – 13.30 CET (Lunch included)

Venue:   Hotel du Collectionneur, Paris

This event will be an interactive and immersive workshop on how to apply a people centred-design process for the optimal, rapid and sustainable roll-out of TB innovations. To register for the workshop, click here and the deadline for the registrations is 6 November.


Event: Launch of tools to support progress on UNHLM commitments

Time:  12.30 – 17.00 CET (Lunch included)

Venue:   Hotel du Collectionneur, Paris

  • Country share of UNHLM targets
  • Findings of assessment of Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCM)
  • Launch of the Key Vulnerable Population size estimation tool
  • Launch of the Legal Score Card.

You are invited to join us for discussions on the next steps after the UNHLM political declaration on TB and the country shares of UNHLM global targets. This will be followed by the release of findings from an assessment of CCMs, the launch of a new tool to estimate the size of TB-related KVPs and the launch of a Legal Score Card.  To register for the event, click here and the deadline for the registrations is 6 November.


Event: Announcement of the Wave 11 Funding opportunity by TB REACH

The funding opportunity of TB REACH Wave 11 will be announced, along with the theme, instructions for applicants and eligibility criteria. There will also be an update on progress of current TB REACH projects and an opportunity for Q&A.  All information about Wave 11 will be posted on the Stop TB website after the event.

Event: ETTi Core Group Meeting

This workshop is titled “Eliminating Transmission of TB and Other Airborne Pathogens”. It is focused on key interventions aimed to make health care, congregate and community settings safe in terms of TB and other airborne infections. This is organized by practicing professionals and the Stop TB Partnership’s End TB Transmission Initiative (ETTi) members.

Event: Workshop on Programmatic implementation of new screening, diagnostic and digital technologies to decentralise and strengthen TB detection
Date and time: 14 November | 08.00-14.00 CET
Venue: Room 241, Palais de Congres, Paris
 
This workshop is co-organized by the Stop TB Partnership and USAID and focuses on the use of innovative tools for decentralized TB screening and diagnosis. Early implementing countries of these technologies, including from the Stop TB Partnership/USAID introducing New Tools Project (iNTP) and other initiatives will share their best practices and challenges encountered during programmatic implementation.

Event: Symposium on Establishing Community-Centered Models for Integrated Service Delivery in Rural and Peri-Urban Sindh in Pakistan

The Stop TB Partnership will be hosting a “Community Connect” session which will showcase a community-centered model designed for rural and peri-urban areas, exemplified through an Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) project catering to TB, Hepatitis C, and common mental health conditions.

Event: Strategic Initiative on Finding the Missing People with TB: Annual Meeting: Overview of progress and experience sharing of 25 countries

The WHO Global Tuberculosis Programme, the Stop TB Partnership, the Global Fund, and USAID are holding annual meetings with National TB Programmes of the Global Fund Strategic Initiative countries and stakeholders. This meeting provides countries with an opportunity to report on progress with TB case finding, innovations and share experiences in a peer-to-peer learning environment. This year will feature lessons learnt and innovations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting will also discuss achievements and challenges in reaching ‘missing’ people with TB with the services they need.


Event: Symposium on Learnings from the Indian NTEP's Ni-kshay system and the importance of Integrated Digital Platforms in the Fight Against TB

India’s Ni-kshay is a global example of how to design, deploy, and maintain a scaled-up high-quality system for digitizing a TB-affected person’s journey towards recovery. An esteemed panel, including representatives from the Government of India's Central TB Division, State representatives, BMGF, USAID, the Stop TB Partnership, and Everwell will share their perspectives and lessons learned on how to leverage appropriate digital tools to enhance a country's strategy to end TB.

Event: Symposium on building state-of-the-art training systems to address rapidly evolving needs to end TB in TB programmes
Date and time: 16 November 17.00 - 18.00 CET
Venue: Room 242, Le Palais des Congrès, Paris
 
A skilled workforce is critical to ensuring rapid progress toward TB Elimination. In the context of rapidly changing global guidance, program policy and operations, ensuring effective, timely on-ground action is dependent on training. In this symposium, the Stop TB Partnership will present and discuss examples of successful model training systems in the context of developing them into global public goods.

Event: How up-to-date are TB Policies in High Burden Countries: Perspectives and Lessons from SUFT project
