Organization Description: |
1) ASSC is an NGO under Angolan law, created in 1995, which works in preventive and curative health and in advocacy for the defense of human rights. 2) We are interested in TB because this disease is still a taboo in Angola, considered as a shameful disease and many people are ignorant about the disease, people hide to die than to appear to be cured. 3) We are trying to get people to open up and talk when they are sick, make them understand that it is curable, even when infected with HIV / AIDS, and it is not a shameful disease. In a nutshell, we are informing and educating the general public about TB, how to prevent and protect other family members. Mobilize the public to test, train community activists and implement the community DOT.
