Organization Description: |
1. Mission: To Support deprived families to satisfy their basic needs, build self sustaining community, bring all underdeveloped elements of the community in the stream of development.
Following are the core areas of organisation work –
1.Sustainable rural development 2.Health –MCH,RCH,RSH,HIV/TB prevention & control 3.Primary and secondary education 4.Women empowerment 5.Sustainable livelihoods
2. Yerala Projects Society along with its associates working in Maharashtra, India since 1976. Basic Health Care is one of our priority area. Our NGO has been appointed as 'Mother NGO' by Govt. of India, to carry out activities on Mother and Child Health. Worked as Nodal NGO for District Integrated HIV/TB prevention and Control Programme of UNICEF and state government, implemented various HIV/TB programmes under National AIDS Prevention and Control Programme. Maharashtra is one of the high HIV and TB prevalence state, makes us to interest in TB prevention and control programmes.
3. As mentioned above we implemented number of innovative HIV/TB prevention programmes, know the implementing strategies. We planned to work with the population which is most vulnerable to TB and presently suffering with the disease i.e.the people living with HIV/ AIDS and the other vulnerable to TB population - population subjected poverty, working and living in unhygienic conditions,pregnant mother,under and malnourished population, population addicted with drugs, alcohol, tobacco etc.. |

In our regular basic health programmes, we are creating awareness about TB and its prevention and control among the community, skills buildings of the barefoot health care providers etc..
