Organization Description: |
Aims and Objectives of the Organization ? To provide centre based educational facilities to the children through joyful learning to reduce the drop-out rates and to prevent potential child labour.
? To improve the health status of girl children and their mothers through health awareness, primary health care, supplementary nutrition program and nutrition training.
? To improve the health status of underweight and malnourished children and simultaneously make the community people aware regarding low cost nutritive food and healthy living practices.
? To promote and strengthen women’s organisations in our project area in Lake Gardens, Howrah, Santoshpur focusing on savings and micro-credit.
? To impart skill training to the young girls and women to inculcate alternative income generation activity as another mode of occupation.
? To build up stakeholders network in the community area along with various, NGOs, GOs, clubs and government officials..
Since the inception of the organisation we have been organising awareness camps on various health issues among which tuberculosis is given prime focus. Since 2016 June we are part of Tuberculosis health action learning initiative a consortium project of USAID, WHP, JSI and CINI. We are working in 6 wards of kolkata Municipal Corporation to identify presumptive cases following them up if they are positive, doing contact tracing, organising awareness and health screening camps in community , schools, We provide training of low cost nutritious food preparation. We are linking the families to urban schemes of State government, we have vocational training courses for the women of families having positive TB Cases |

We are working in close liason with our National program on DOTS. during active case finding and community visits if we come across presumptive cases then we refer them to Urban Health Unit of the area for sputum test. If positive the case is referred to Urban health unit Dots program to get medicine for treatment |
