Organization Description:
Vision

An improved quality of life of people living with HIV, to make TB free India, increase child education among poor people, women empowerment, livelihood, rights of PLHIV and CABA, Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Income Generation Program and an increased active participation in society by working for the rights of poor, women and girls from marginalized community.

Mission

To improve the quality of life and provide a sense of belonging to people living with HIV and their families and reduce further HIV transmission. To link the PLHIV and the poor people from marginalized communities with Social Entitlements and Welfare Schemes offered by Central Government and Delhi Government. To raise awareness regarding HIV/TB, Hep-B/Hep-C co-infections in the slum and marginalized communities. To actively participate in programs aimed at building a TB free India. To educate and campaign for a clean and better India through Indoor Toilet and hygienic practices. To equip children with books who are engaged in labor or not connected to regular schooling. To empower women through Self Help Groups and inculcate saving habits and encourage them to run small businesses by connecting them to Skill Development and Income Generation Programs for a better livelihood.

To facilitate linkage to the existing social welfare and protection schemes under different line departments, corporate sector, public sector under undertaking, faith based organizations and civil society organizations. To ensure a roburst system that supports the program goal and ensures reduced stigma and a discrimination free access to quality services.

The care of HIV infected people is the most challenging aspect of HIV/AIDS prevention. The experience shows that to mobilize the community support, the advocacy among PLHA and networking among them for creating an enabling environment is essential. Keeping the issue in mind, OPNP+ achieved the following objectives for establishing and functioning care and support center in Delhi/NCR.
