The main focus of our organization is public health. We address a whole rubric of maternal and child health, drugs and substance abuse prevention, infectious diseases, water and sanitation, nutrition and hygiene, sexual reproductive health.
Our vision is a world in which saves lives, improves health and enhances well-being
Our mission is to build the capacity of vulnerable groups through information, education, communication and health programmes, so that individuals and communities can live meaningful lives and have a sense of dignity in a "new community"
HEDEN is interested in TB in other to contribute in the fight against TB burden, thus lending its voice to the SDGs. Our plan for TB control is to strengthen community based programming to create awareness among individuals and communities |

Health Education and Empowerment Initiative is contributing to the Nigeria TB control plan through awareness on TB at the community level, especially with community associations and groups. Another part of our intervention bothers on in-school youths we are working with called Seeds of Hope- A school based club of peer health educators formed by the organization in 2006.
