Organization Description: |
We are Africa’s first ever media broadcasting, health advocacy and media campaign platform strictly run by professional nurses with the aim of transforming public health through the promotion of the Universal Health Coverage and Goal 3, 5, 6, 9 & 17 of the United Nations SDGs.
Our mission is to deploy the power of health media broadcasting, multi and trans-media story-telling; media advocacy strategies and public health education approaches, towards improving access to more qualitative healthcare services, reducing burden of diseases in families and communities and enhancing the quality of life among the African populace.
With a target of engaging and partnering with over one million African nurses across the globe, we have a vision of leading the revolutionary change that will transform Africa's health systems through the power of media advocacy and ICT.
As professional nurses, we are first hand witnesses of the heavy burden of disease suffered by clients, patients, families battling with the TB and other infectious disease. Our call of duty goes beyond the four walls of the hospital where we care for these ones, to impacting families and communities through the specialized knowledge, expertise and skills we have acquired in the health and media field.
With access to over 150, 000 professionals nurses in Nigeria, we plan to drive more nurse volunteers to join the STOP TB movement. We also hope to engage in massive nationwide public health education, awareness and enlightenment and campaign using the power of multi-media and trans-media tools to help ensure TB receives the attention it deserves and also help improve access to professional care, treatment and support for clients and families.
We are a society of nurses building healthier families and communities through media innovations and partnerships. |

Too many Nigerians continue to fall ill with tuberculosis each year – with an an estimated 591,500 adults and children in 2014. Many of these ones are unable to access the services they need for a proper diagnosis and prompt treatment. We hope to support the Nigerian government in its commitment to achieving the goal of providing Nigerians with universal access to high-quality, patient-centered prevention, diagnosis and treatment services through a strategic nationwide awareness, media and education campaign with the use of audio-visuals and animated videos geared complementing the ongoing intensive efforts aimed at bringing TB under control in Nigeria.
