Organization Description: |
United Force for Development (UFFD) is a non-governmental development organisation that has been providing development services on empowering women and children. The organisation was founded in 2010 by a group of young passionate about improving the health, climate change smart agriculture, education and empowerment of women and children society as a means of increasing development in Ghana. Headquarters in Tamale the capital of Northern Region, has over Ten (10) staff of varied backgrounds, a network of about 17 different local consultants and associates,400 community volunteers and Project offices in the regional capital of the Upper East and West Regions UFFD is a non-governmental national development organization that has been providing development services since its establishment in 2010.It was founded to undertake development programmes and advocacy to improve the lives of people. Since its inception, UFFD has implemented projects funded by Youth Service America (Global Youth Service Day Celebrations), Global Fund, Ghana AIDS Commission, focusing on the health care systems on prevention of diseases, local governance and decentralization, Agriculture and Food Security, Climate Change, HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health. Vision and Mission: Our Vision is A Development organization committed to a Ghana and Africa where human rights are guaranteed Mission: Working with communities and community-based structures to contribute the sustainable developmental goal in Northern Ghana, focusing on Health, Nutrition, Education, Environmental Health and Sanitation, Agriculture, Livelihood, and Good governance, Advocacy. • The Organization engages rural farmers, community based Organizations and relevant communities through five primary methods to achieve its goals i.e. Information sharing, Facilitating, Promoting ,Technology and Partnership • Research and training to generate knowledge and deepen insights for effective policy formation and management , • Support training that will build and improve |

The UF4D is working closely with community-based structures to contribute towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Ghana. The organization’s thematic area focuses on health, nutrition, education, environment, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), agriculture, youth, women empowerment and livelihood Initiatives and good governance. It is achieving these through sensitization, advocacy and skills development. Working with communities and community-based structures to contribute the sustainable developmental goal in Northern Ghana, focusing on Health, Nutrition, Education, Environmental Health and Sanitation, Agriculture, Livelihood, and Good governance, Advocacy. |

TB Care Delivery: The Organization engages rural farmers, community based Organizations and relevant communities through five primary methods to achieve its goals i.e. Information sharing, Facilitating, Promoting ,Technology and Partnership
Drug-Resistant TB: Support training that will build and improve capacity of local institutions ,local actors, community based organization, farmer based organization and complement their existing efforts
TB-HIV: Fosters collaboration and cooperation among relevant stakeholders and partners
Laboratory Strengthening: Advocacy for gender equity and to in campaign in gender related issues
New Diagnostics: To enhance women’s activities to improve the quality of lives through participation in decision making and access and control over resources , skills and benefits
New TB Drugs: To contribute to poverty reduction through sustainable livelihoods for the poor and marginalized rural families
