Organization Description: |
Dr CADx is using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence algorithms to develop a computer aided diagnostic (CAD) system that helps doctors diagnose medical images more accurately and at a low cost. This will help reduce the misdiagnoses that have dire consequences for patients and drive up medical costs. By deploying an artificial intelligence system that will be available at any given time of the day — even in remote areas — we will greatly improve the quality of patient management and save lives, especially in the marginalised areas of the developing world.
Our interest in improving the interpretation of chest X-rays in the detection of TB stems from the fact that TB is the most common cause of death due to infectious diseases, but it can be easily treated after early detection. We are currently working on clinical studies to validate the efficacy of the CAD tool for TB. |
