Contribution |
Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: Everwell works on improving care delivery through digital adherence initiatives like 99DOTS, MEMS, and VOT - through implementation of digital adherence tools, patients have more freedom and ownership of treatment and programs can more efficiently reach out to patients in need of additional care. We've been working with the national TB program in India since 2014 for national scale up of 99DOTS, in Myanmar since 2016, and in several new countries in Asia and Africa through TB Reach and Unitaid.
Drug-Resistant TB: Through adherence strengthening technologies, patients are more empowered to complete their treatment and take daily medication, preventing the emergence of drug resistant strands of TB. We've been working with the national TB program in India since 2014 for national scale up of 99DOTS, in Myanmar since 2016, and in several new countries in Asia and Africa through TB Reach and Unitaid.
TB-HIV: In India, 99DOTS was first piloted in 2016 at scale with the TB-HIV population across 30 high-burden sites in southern India. Based on the success of those pilots, 99DOTS has scaled across India to every TB-HIV patient and increasing populations of TB patients in new sites. |
