| Our mission is to create a safe work environment dealing with infectious diseases. Our expertise include facilities design to handle highly pathogenic biological agents and train on Biosafety principles and practices to the users. We also provide biosafety and bio-containment expertise in the form of certification, consultation, training and participation in technical expert groups. Our team has designed and trained at least 16 MDR TB facilities across Indonesia. The commitment of these lab staff to do their best despite challenging environment compels us to do more. We know we can in the region by lending our expertise. |

Laboratory Strengthening: We have designed and certified MDR TB containment Labs in Singapore (2), Indonesia (16) and Thailand (2). It also include Biosafety, emergency response and maintenance SOPs and training since 2010. Culturing of TB is still a high risk activity. At times, Biosafety awareness are being neglected. In developing countries, Donors provided funding for the building of the facility but not the maintenance. After years of usage, new users were not being trained appropriately with the risks involved. Facilities are under-maintained due to the lack of funding and training. We hope to advocate that Quality, Safety and Maintenance are 3 components that work hand-in-hand and not just Quality ONLY as KPI for sustainability. |
