Organization Description: |
1. New Vision Foundation-International (NVFI) is a registered development-oriented, humanitarian relief and an advocacy Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to delivering philanthropic initiatives to ease the woes of the needy.
The organization also seeks to ensure equitable development for both rural inhabitants and poor urban dwellers, by initiating and supporting sustainable development programs and projects in their respective communities.
We intend to achieve this through building sustainable and healthy partnerships with Donor Agencies, Companies, Institutions, Corporate Organizations, Philanthropists, Government Agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations who share our vision and core values.
The vision of NVFI is to “create viable communities for the deprived and marginalized people in the society to have access to basic social amenities, justice, equal opportunities and equality for sustainable development in Ghana and Africa”.
To achieve this, the organization has initiated a number of programs and projects that have a strong potential of improving and transforming the lives of the deprived and the marginalized people in the society and to drive its strategic objectives of becoming a result oriented and sustainable development focused NGO in Ghana and Africa.
Our programs and projects are built on the following pillars and foundations: i. Achievable targets, sustainable goals and with a cost efficient budget. ii. Strong grassroot links, field-based development expertise with participatory methodologies and tools to ensure the sustainability of the project. iii. Long-term commitment with key emphasis on sustainability. We are committed and determined to reach out to children, youth, women, and the aged in Ghana and Africa, to provide them with opportunities that can help them to rise out of poverty in order to contribute their quota in the political and socio-economic development of their communities.

As a strategy and TB Control plan,NVFI will:
a. Spread awareness about Tuberculosis(TB),educating communities on it,prevention and treatment.
b. Provide communities based care to TB Patients
c. Train TB Health Care workers and Volunteers
d. Conduct and supporting operational research through innovative and quality research.

Contribution |
Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: NVFI will train about 200 community volunteers to embark on home visit to educate people in our operational communities on basic facts on TB. Volunteers will be made to refer suspect to hospital and do follow up to ensure drug adherence.
Drug-Resistant TB: NVFI will create massive but an effective awareness and education campaign on drug resistant. |
