Organization Description:
1. FICA Mission:
"To empower vulnerable children, youth and women in accessing relevant education, innovative healthcare and market-focused livelihood programmes through promotion of sustainable communities that participate in valuing, protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children, women and youth."

Main Focus of FICA Work:
Priority area 1: Access to health services
Priority area 2: Young people’s sexual and reproductive health rights
Priority area 3: Community capacity building on livelihoods and food security promotion
Priority area 4: Community led advocacy

2. Interest in Tuberculosis:
FICA continues to work with People Living with HIV/AIDS. Due to the possibility of TB/HIV Coinfection, FICA always encourages HIV positive beneficiaries to also go through TB tests in order to reduced TB related deaths.

3. TB Control
FICA is already working with local health centers in terms of provision of referral services, treatment and care. The organization continues to conduct awareness and capacity building initiatives, encouraging People Living with HIV/AIDS under ART to also test for TB. Treatment and Care activities are also made possible through FICA's network of community based caregivers who ensure that beneficiaries adhere to their treatment schedules.

Please tell us how your organization is contributing to your country's national TB control plan:
Working with government health centers and participating in activities coordinated by the National AIDS Council as an example always aligns FICA's work to the national TB control plan. The organization does not conduct any TB related activities without working in collaboration with departments and institutions under the Ministry of Health and Child Care. As a result, the work that is done by FICA is always aligned to the national development agenda.
