TB Care Delivery: Our organisation is doing TB screening and referral to the PHC clinic for further management in the mining community of South Africa. In 2017, we have applied for funding to implement a project in the community, in South Africa doing TB screening and testing, TB contact tracing, primary defaulter tracing, giving education and awareness on TB, linkage to care, doing DOTS support for those who are started on treatment.
TB-HIV: On the proposed project for 2017, implemented in the community, in South Africa, we plan to do intensified TB case finding and offer HIV testing to people who are diagnosed with TB through our project. We intend to keep the patients who are started on treatment under care until they have completed their TB treatment. |
