WEIN in collaboration with save the children on USAID/STEER project are currently working in 4 LGAs of Bauchi State on Active House-To-House TB Case search. Since the inception of this component (TB) on STEER project, WEIN has screened over 23,113 person for presumptive TB symptoms and has increased the number of presumptive TB and confirmed TB cases accessing TB services in these LGAs |

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: WEIN paid advocacy to the key stakeholders of Dambam, Katagum, Itas/Gadau and Zaki LGAs of Bauchi state Nigeria between 4th to 6th April, 2016 as a result, 20 Community Health Workers were training on house to house TB case finding. This trained individuals worked as the foot solders of WEIN to achieve the screening of over 23.113 people for TB symptoms between June, 2016 to date which help to confirmed over 35 TB cases in these LGAs who are currently enrolled on DOTS
TB-HIV: The global strategy of stop TB by TB-HIV integration which say that a TB positive client should be tested for HIV was strictly followed, as a result 1 patient who was confirmed was also confirmed HIV positive |
