Organization Description:
MDA is an acronym for Mbarara Development Agency. The organization was started in 2000 as a local voluntary NGO to fight poverty, human rights violations, environmental degradation, HIV/AIDS/TB and malaria in a holistic and integrated approach to improve beneficiaries' standards of living.
MDA Vision is sustainable improved standards of living in Uganda where people have a secure and fulfilled life.
MDA Mission is promoting and enhancing capacity building training and support to empower beneficiaries in undertaking their own development initiatives to alleviate poverty.
MDA's interest is to contribute our efforts in fighting TB in Uganda and the beyond.

MDA covers maternal health and reduced child vulnerability through empowerment, advocacy and accessibility of knowledge and resources for building a better life among Nationals, Host Communities and others. MDGs addressed by MDA integrated capacity building approach include eradication of poverty (MDGI), basic education (MDG2) gender equity and women empowerment (MDG3), fighting HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB (MDG6), environmental sustainability (MDG7) and partnerships for development (MDG8); and in the course of programme interventions.
