| Kandhamal Zilla Sabuja Vaidya Sangathan (KZSVS) is a secular, non- profit making, non-government, and non-political organization working in Orissa State, India, since 2004. KZSVS was initially started with a mission to generate mass awareness on conservation of meditational plants, management and use of herbal medicine and also identification, recognisation and capacity building of traditional healers in the area. It was a unique organization aim to rejuvenate the use of herbal & medicinal plant for treatment of different disease which is more economical and accessible to tribal poor. Presently, KZSVS has identified 100 Vaidyas (traditional healers) in Daringbadi Block and its surrounding area and taking several initiatives for straightening the Vaidyas Forum in the district. Striving towards a grand success in its mission, KZSVS has spread its activities for overall socio economic development of the poor and marginalized peoples living in the vulnerable area of Kandhamal district. Presently KZSVS is active in Kandhamal district of Orissa, working for socio-economic development of poor and vulnerable communities with focus on School to school, Cloth for work, Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity Conservation, Livelihood Promotion, Disaster Risk Reduction, Women's Empowerment and Strengthening of Self Governance. It has been participating in advocacy process for the cause of vulnerable sections through networking and alliance building. KZSVS has successfully implemented School to School, Cloth for Work, several Public Health, Water and Sanitation, NRM, Bio-diversity Conservation, Livelihood and Disaster Preparedness programmes in the district supported by State as well as Central Government and Non-Government Aid Agencies.
