VISION: YPPD envisions a society wherein young people can maximize their potentials in development that affect their lives through enhancing their capabilities and enabling them to affirm control over their life circumstances.
MISSION: Our mission is to advocate, inform, involve, inspire and celebrate social change led by and for youths through a multifaceted approach. We connect with organizations and individuals with a view to supporting young people, and build alliances between youth groups, developing and empowering the marginalized and vulnerable youth of Sierra Leone.
WHY ARE WE INTERESTED? YPPD being a youth-led approach to development and health in particular, TB prevention and control in Sierra Leone is one critical issue that requires multi-stakeholder approaches for the progressive realization of the "End TB Strategy."
WHAT ARE WE DOING: A major part of our work is focused on two broad engagement; one is on policy advocacy and engagement and the other is primarily is community education and outreach. |
