Organization Description:
1.Mission: To develop and implement strategies geared towards elimination of HIV and AIDS, TB and STIs on the Focus population.
2.SAFUA was actively involved in TB work through the community strategy 2012-2015 September during the GF R9 TB program as SSR in 3 TB control Zones, whereby NSP contacts were traced, screened,Educated on TB prevention and referred where necessary.All children below 5 years in the House holds were referred to be started on IPT. TB treatment Interrupters traced and brought back on treatment,and their H/H educated on TB prevention and the importance of adherence for the patient. Speaking about TB at public barazas and during world TB days. Advocacy at all levels. 3.The work is ongoing, even without funding, because it is our community and TB is everywhere and we are all at risk.

Our work is coordinated by the Sub County TB and Leprosy Coordinators, who are the link between SAFUA and the Government. We also do advocacy locally, at county and National levels.
