Vihar Samaj Kalyan Sansthan (VISKASAN), Ranchi is registered society, founded on the day of Gandhi Jayanti on dt. 2nd October 1983 by dedicated social workers, intellectuals, educationist and medical consultants with a sole objective of sustainable rural development in tribal villages of state Jharkhand. The organization is working for sustained socio- economic status and dignity of rural poor and deprived people in the society particularly among tribal poor with a particular emphasis on women, children and aged who are neglected and distressed. The organization prepares the poor and marginalized people to undertake the responsibilities of socio-economic development by themselves.
This voluntary, non-profit making, non-political, non-religious organization is established in 1983 and registered under Societies Registration Act. XXI 1860 in 1989 and later registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA)1976 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India in 1994.
We are interested in tuberculosis because state Jharkhand in one of the most TB affected states of India and even if implementation of RNTCP, TB in the area is still prevailing in the state which has to be controlled soon.
We are planning to participate in TB Stop Programme in community integrating /mobilisation part with our network NGOs in the state so that the population/ TB Communities in the tribal, hilly and difficult areas will participate in program and served to control TB and save their lives. |

The organisation conduct assessment at state Jharkhand to strengthen a state TB constituency that engages, represents and is accountable to communities. It integrates community systems strengthening , gender, human rights and key affected population services in TB and TB/HIV, conduct TB/HIV gender assessments to support the TB communities in TB program reviews, and to build capacity of TB communities to engage in Country Coordinating Mechanism through regional training and workshops to improve case detection through TB Reach and to improve the medicine procurement and supply management plans . |
