Organization Description:
The main goals of “Tuberculosis and Me” NGO are to provide a chance to use informational, psychological, social, legal services to a person with tuberculosis who can be in both ambulatory and stationary treatment. The program highly appreciates creating chances for a person’s wish to gain new skills which can be a basis for him to ahev a job and feeling of self-sufficiency.
The organization is aimed at helping any person who will meet the disease of tuberculosis and will need help as well as to break the stereotypes about tuberculosis.
2.The company was founded by three friends, one of whom had been previously diagnosed with tuberculosis.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

Drug-Resistant TB:
On June 27th and 28th of 2015 an excursion was organized to Garni, Geghard and to Ejmiatsin churches and Zvartnots for the second turn for 14 patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis in ambulatory treatments.
On May 4-5 of 2015 the NGO paid an informative, educational visit to the University of Economy and Law after Avetik Mkrtchyan. The aim of the visit was to provide the students with information on the disease of tuberculosis, its expansion and ways of treatment.
On March 24-29 of 2015 “Tuberculosis and Me” Social – Psychological NGO visited the National Center for Tuberculosis Control SNCO. The visit was aimed at providing i nformation to people who were being treated about all the chances within the activity of the organization which they could use. The patients were also distributed with information booklets on tuberculosis disease. After the visit two patients that were being treated submitted applications to become a volunteer of “Tuberculosis and Me” Social – Psychological NGO. Informative works were implemented with 20 patients form the dug-resistant department and 15 patients from the Sensitive department of the hospital. In general informative works were conducted with 35 patients.
