Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB-HIV: To strengthen rural, semi-urban and urban women and youths capacity in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, specifically those related to Environmental health, Malaria, TB/HIV/AIDS, other health issues, education and gender ;
To generate wider commitment among communities to contribute to the development of knowledge and skills on projects and programme for sustainability To strengthen rural, semi-urban and urban women and youth’s capacity in policy and actions aimed at adapting to the impacts of water, sanitation, climate change and environmental disaster POM identifies and support income generating activities among rural poor, empower women, youth and children for self and community development To strengthen human rights, monitoring arrangements and especially educate on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and its four principles: Right to life, survival, and development Right to be treated equally Right to participate in activities and decisions that affect them All actions should be based on the “best interest” of the child
In achieving these POM engages in the following activities:-
Malaria and TB/ HIV/AIDS Education, Treatment, Prevention and Control Sexual Education for high risk youth, Education on Patient Charter, family planning among others Adolescent Reproductive Health Nature’s Liquid and Sanitation Education Education, Care and Support for PLHIV and TB clients |
