Organization Description: |
The Center for Community HealthCare, Research and Development (Center, CHRAD), is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with the overall intension of giving audience to the voiceless, helping the helpless and giving hope to the hopeless by implementing community-based health projects relating to HIV/AIDs, Tuberculosis, Malaria and other non-communicable diseases that are common among low-income community dwellers such as those leaving in the hard-to-reach settlements, villages and slums.
Vision: The vision of the center is healthy communities where evidence-based community health interventions will contribute to economic growth and social development.
Mission: The mission is to work with forces of positive change to create health care access to low-income communities through volunteering, advocacy, collaboration, networking, community mobilization and participation for sustainable development.

The aims and objectives of the center: 1. To implement community-based health projects relating to HIV/AIDs, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Cancer and other non-communicable diseases among low-income community-dwellers.
2. To conduct and support evidenced-based/operations research to scale up community proven strategies and best practices to achieve wider health impact in other communities across the nation/region.
3. To create access to healthcare for community dwellers by strengthening the primary health care systems as a contribution to economic growth and nation/regional development.
4. To support and sponsor community-based developmental projects using locally available resources and appropriate technologies.
5. To establish research, academic, grant collaborations between institutions locally and abroad to promote evidence-based and innovative community healthcare interventions.
