| Razi vaccine and Serum research Institute is well known as one of the oldest and largest vaccine producer in the region. It is involved in production of more than 50 biologicals including vaccines (Medical and veterinary) and serums. With over 1300 staff and 6 branches over the country it is also recongnized as reference laboratory for many disaese including tuberculosis.The institute has well established national and international links. AT TB department we are involved in production of Bovine, Avian and Human TB vaccine (C, DT and PN) and Malein (B.mallei). The Reference laboratory at this department is engaged in accurate diagnosis of this disease and all suspected samples across the country are forwarded via Ministry of Health to this department. We have also developed an ELISA kit for accurate diagnosis of disease. |

New TB Vaccines: In late 1980 Razi institute made a new record in production of bovine and avian PPD tuberculin. The department is makes continuous efforts in development of more effective vaccines against BCG vaccine, Bovine, and Avian PPD tuberculin including Optimization of present production process and development of new ones. |
