| BNMT Nepal is built on the foundation of commitment, expertise and experience of the Britain Nepal Medical Trust (BNMT UK) which has been working in TB prevention and control in Nepal since 1967. Our vision and mission are as follow: Vision Improved health and wellbeing of Nepalese people. Mission To ensure equitable access to quality health care and enabling environment for socially and economically disadvantaged people. BNMT Nepal has been involved in various aspects in TB control in Nepal. Besides its outreach work in identification of new TB cases, BNMT Nepal manages the Regional TB Quality Control Laboratory of the Eastern Region in Nepal. |

| BNMT Nepal has been involved in active case finding in 15 districts of the country, the very successful approach which has recently been adopted by the Nepal National TB Program. In addition, we are also involved in supporting smaller TB outreach clinics and community volunteers. |

TB Care Delivery: Support to local community based clinic and volunteers providing treatment. TB-HIV: Implementation of TB-HIV orientation and programmes. Laboratory Strengthening: BNMT Nepal manages the regional quality control laboratory for the Eastern Region in Nepal. Research: BNMT Nepal conducts operational research on TB. The recent research on Smoking cessation amongst TB patients has been published in the IJTLD. |
