TB Care Delivery:
From February to October 2014, over 24000 people were educated on TB and the need to visit health facilities for DOTS coverage. Community residents continue to receive such social mobilization and education of TB.

Drug-Resistant TB:
AHEFS through its community-based surveillance volunteers continues to educate community members using community information systems to get people testing and track resistance to TB drugs.

TB-HIV:
By promoting HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC)at the community level, persons testing positive for HIV are also tested for TB. This way, TB treatment can be initiated before it worsens.

Laboratory Strengthening:
AHEFS continue to work with lab technicians to improve specimen quality, microscopy and remove bottlenecks to diagnosis and case detection.

New Diagnostics:
With integrated enabler package and community communication systems in place, people showing signs of TB are motivated to visit health facilities to be tested and treated.
