National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP) aims to strengthen the effort of TB Control through effective partnership, mobilizing resources and ensuring quality diagnostic and treatment services under defined Directly Observed Treatment Short Course (DOTS) strategy. The service should be equally available to all people of Bangladesh irrespective of age, sex, religion, ethnicity, social status and race. Khalifa Foundation will Awareness and Prevention of TB Disease Control for disadvantage peoples will require some form of additional assistance to undertake or even gain entry to the training program, perhaps through training allowances.

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: DOTS Expansion and Enhancement: We run motivational work through group discussion to prevent TB which includes personal hygiene, hygienic housing facility, nutritional food intake etc. We regularly arrange sputum collection camp in the epidemic zone of our working area with the technical help of department of health & family planning and transfer it to the health complex to find out the TB patients. Then we contact to the doctors to the health complex and provide medicine to the patients. We follow DOT (Direct Observatory Therapy) method through our Village Health Volunteer in our constituency, which ensures proper use of medicine intake by the patient. Village Health Volunteer will be selected from respective villages and provided with training to equip with TB control and DOT mechanism and make heath service to door steps to the beneficiaries. Community is to be made aware of the services available at different levels through:
Drug-Resistant TB: Drug-Resistant TB: Along with school our NGO run a Medical Treatment center provides freely Drug medicines for those people who use drugs abundantly in every day. The prices of Drugs medicines are very high. We need more drug medicines for the betterment of Drug patients. Dim light NGO have not more funds for buy more medicines for treatment drugs patients. Our organization member’s wants provide more and more facilities that use more drugs.

Declaration of interests: Barguna Sadar and Amtali Upazilla undear Barguna District is the proposed project is one the sever poverty stricken area of the country where Seasonal famine is a seasonal phenomenon. Above 60% people of the area live in subsistence level. Lion’s part of the people of the region is engaged in mainly in agricultural labor and lives with $1 Dollar income a day. They are too poor to avail health care services. In the one hand they are unaware of health care facilities on the other hand they are too poor to avail medicate.
Nationally about 60% people of the country are malnourished indiscriminate children and adult. The people used to undergo hard labor to maintain their livelihood. Low income and unbalanced food intake leads to malnourishment of the stakeholders. Malnourished people easily infected by TB. TB is communicable diseases. It transmitted from one to another. Living standard of the community people the project intends to address is so much unaware of spreading mode of TB or they act to be getting rid of it. To control TB the community people as well as other actors like local elite, govt. health department, local administration, and local elected representative should be make more aware and agitate a social movement to fight against the epidemic of the disease.
