Organization Description: |
Our Mission; CEPACOV is committed to making life of the aged, children and the vulnerable; fulfilling, enjoyable and productive by enhancing their access to opportunities and providing them with skills and resources using best practices to improve their wellbeing and utilise their maximum potentials to project their voice and achieve their aspirations commensurate with their abilities while contributing to the development of the society. Goal; To uphold and institute the virtues of recognition and rights, respect for dignity, survival, development, protection and participation and reduce the burden of ignorance, conflicts, disease, social vices and other related problems among the Aged, children and the vulnerable through community oriented programmes. 2. CEPACOV is interested in TB becase the bacterium is more infectious to the community and spreads faster if not treated. Tuberculosis (TB) is second only to HIV/AIDS as the greatest killer worldwide due to a single infectious agent. Over 95% of TB deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, and it is among the top three causes of death for women aged 15 to 44. TB is a leading killer of people living with HIV causing one fifth of all deaths. Multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB) is present in virtually all countries surveyed.most people are ingnorant of this fact about TB and untill they are made to know death will contiune to be high. people tend to believe it does not kill and better still think going on herbs is the best treatment. CEPACOV wants to change people thionking towards TB so that the death rate will continue to decline.
3. CEPACOV has been creating awarness on TB in communites making know to the communities on the disadvantages of TB is not treated and how it spreads, possible symtoms and it benefit when treated.
