Our interest in tuberculosis is driven by:To strive towards reduction of preventable disease prevalence and incidences of poverty among the vulnerable community members.
Our current actions:We are currently implementing programs in the area of Advocacy, Rapid case detection, building community structures for community sustainable health provision, defaulter tracing, capacity building training to CHWS,CHEWs and other drivers.

We are currently implementing several activities with the NTP collaboration with funding from Global fund to fight TB, Malaria and HIV/AIDs. We have also worked with the community in building community structures for integration of TB preventive activities with funding from STOP TB partnership. In overall we do advocacy and sensitization for TB program at community level.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
We contribute CB-DOTS expansion through capacity building training to Community health workers, Community health extension workers and District health management teams om Nutritional assessment of TB patients, Tb sneering of prisoners, community defaulter mechanisms, Contact tracing with help of care givers. We also conduct advocacy programs on intensive case finding with the CHWS through community meetings at community units as focal points. Through our youth theater group we do sensitization and awareness communication of TB prevention mechanism with the community, this social mobilization aims at increasing the community capacity to confront TB prevention behaviors at an informed point of view.

TB-HIV:
We conduct activities geared towards prevention of TB/HIV co-infection morbidity and mortality prevalence. We do advocacy and social mobilization alongside these thematic areas to inform PLWHIV of there susceptibility to vulnerability to acquiring TB and how it can be prevented or easily cured through early detection and treatment. Our objective is geared towards prevention of new infection through awareness raising in the community of how it can be squired or cured through early detection.
