Nagoke Youth HIV/AIDS Initiative (NYAI) is Community Based Organization established with a aim to improve the livelihood of the youth, mainly young girls who have involved themselves in risky behaviors to earn a living mainly those affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, educating people living with HIV/AIDS on how to access treatment, care and support. With a mission of providing a ray of hope for the youth living with HIV and empowering them through the provision of life skills for a better future.
NYAI is interested in Tuberculosis not only it kills but its curable. And its this message that the youth need to know and give hope to the TB patients so that treatment succession is achieved.
NYAI is undertaking TB/HIV treatment literacy and preparedness,community TB adherence session, school outreaches/awareness on stigma and discrimination

NYAI contributes to the country's National TB control Plan through continuous involvement in TB/HIV community mobilization and advocacy activities through the community and school outreach programs. We carryout Home visits to homes of persons on treatment for treatment adherence support and making referrals for further management to health units. |
