| 1: To strengthen community awareness and increase TB case detection among The general community, boarding school children, amongst the elderly and the prisoners 2: To increase community reach-out efforts of Community Health Workers in partnership with community health volunteers Through this intervention “The Awakening” will be contributing to the promotion and protection of TB patients issues and thus this will contribute to the Global Fund process in Pakistan. The findings of the project will be shared with all the stakeholders including the National TB Programme and the Global Fund. |

TB Care Delivery: 1. To strengthen community awareness and increase TB case detection among The general community, boarding school children, amongst the elderly and the prisoners ? Carry out TB health educations in schools, prisons, homes and among the general community ? Facilitate the drama teams of schools to prepare plays about diagnosis and treatment of TB. ? 10 awareness session conducted by each Community Health Worker per month and Bi-monthly Health talks on radio with district health personnel on TB. ? 2 Seminar on the topic of TB causes and prevention ? 3 Community awareness walks ? Daily radio spots to break stigma and increase community awareness on TB management 2. To increase community reach-out efforts of Community Health Workers in partnership with community health volunteers ? Training of the Community Health Workers for community outreach and on formation of Health Committees ? Training of the community health volunteers to partner with Community Health Workers for community outreach ? Creating formal partnerships with health centre to carry out intensive case detection and referring suspects to higher health centers for TB screening |
