Organization Description: |
1.TBGun has its mission as: to pursue integrated control of TB through innovative approaches whilst advocating for healthy lifestyle behavior and good sanitation among the populace. TBGun seeks to develop innovative approaches towards the control of the menace. This would be achieved through community involvement in sensitization efforts and social mobilization programs that would demystify the diseases. 2. The devastating impact of this disease is enormous ranging from lost man-hours, poverty, stigma to death. The disease is air-borne suggesting anybody can contract TB, even me or my immediate family since we interact extensively with community folks in our day-to-day business transactions, congregations and other social events. There is therefore the imperative need to contribute my quota towards its eventual elimination.
3. Iam planning to use the media, churches etc to do some sensitization on the danger of the disease. Iam currently involved in the National TB prevalence Survey project in Ghana, working in one of the laboratories performing diagnosis of cases. I also plan to liaise with with country NTP and other stakeholder organizations in pursuit of workplace case finding and TB screening activities. |
