Organization Description:
The Bright Generation Community Foundation is committed to ensuring sustainable development, eradicating all forms of poverty, women employment and empowerment. The aspects of self-help, community participation in development activities and resource conservation are extremely important concepts used in all BGCMs projects.
We are interested in tuberculosis because TB remains an epidemic causing the deaths of several million people each year in developing countries. We contribute our quota to TB control through innovative activities in building capacity and creating awareness on its prevalence.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
We do stage ACSM and DOTS expansion activities in remote areas where they can hardly access healthcare.We also engage in community awareness creation on TB,TB Suspected Cases referrals, Sputum Collection and training and engagement of trained Community Based Volunteer

TB-HIV:
We are interested in understanding the effect of immune assault in relation to TB-HIV co-infection

New Diagnostics:
Referring of cases from the community to the clinics for sputum collection and testing.

New TB Drugs:
We will administer drugs to newly positive patients who have limited accesss to health facilities.
