Sid Child Care Foundation was formed in 2010 and fully registered in 2011 as a Community Based Organization with Kampala Capital City Authority with its registration number KAW/13/633. Our secretariat is situated in Nsooba zone, Kyebando parish, Kawempe Division, Kampala the republic of Uganda.
Sccf was registered with the major objectives of promoting information communication and technology, proving free formal education vocational training skills for youth and disadvantaged groups. To provide homes and placements for children in need of care and protection due to social and economic effects of HIV/AIDS and poverty. SCCF mission is working together for development of social and economic program of different communities through training, psycho-social support and creating income generating activities.
SID CHILD CARE FOUNDATION is interested in TB because; TB in most cases result to HIV/AIDS and that is why SCCF is dealing with HIV/AIDS victims and therefore SCCF wishes to create awareness, treatment and care of TB patients.
SCCF is conducting/ planning to do the following for TB control;
1. SCCF is carrying out counseling and career guidance to youth, people affected and infected with HIV/AIDs through .community mobilization.
2. SCCF carries out referral of HIV/AIDs and TB patients for treatment to the nearest government Health Centers.
3. Empowerment of HIV/AIDs and TB victims.
4. Providing psychosocial support
5..Providing vocational training skills to widows, youth, people with disabilities and elderly affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty.
