Organization Description:
CLINICS FOR ALL (Clinics4All) is an international medical non – governmental, non-profit organization based in Pretoria, South Africa that works towards improving access to primary healthcare for vulnerable populations in infrastructure-poor environments in developing countries globally. We work in collaboration with Governments, local and international organizations and communities by designing, making and donating customized self-contained medical clinics made from recycled shipping containers in low-resourced, medically underserved and hard to reach locations. Our clinics are used as diagnostic and treatment centers for the world's killer diseases such as TB in areas which are not catered for by the national healthcare systems.

Clinics4All improves access to healthcare in remote, hard-to-reach areas of the third world. We do this by converting standard used shipping containers into easily deploy-able self-contained medical clinics which are able to function in areas with little or no support infrastructure such as electricity. The clinics come complete with on-board diagnostic laboratories which offer a complete range of diagnostic tools for killer diseases such as TB. We therefore contribute to National TB Control programs by offering diagnostic facilities in medically under-served remote areas where detection of TB is non-existent and we use our clinics as delivery points for treatment and TB disease management services using the community DOTS approach.
