Organization Description: |
With a mission of "saving lives through health, clean water and agriculture," the Alaska Sudan Medical Project works in the remote village of Old Fangak in South Sudan. We partner with Dr. Jill Seaman, who has worked in South Sudan for over 23 years in an effort to stop TB and other infectious diseases. We provide health infrastructure support for Dr. Seaman's operations, including the construction of medical clinic. Our next project is to build a TB/infectious disease clinic in the region in order to properly diagnose, isolate and treat TB patients. |
