Organization Description: |
Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) is a regional network of harm reduction programs, groups of people who use drugs and their allies from across 28 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CEECA), who work to advocate for the universal human rights of people who use drugs, and to protect their lives and health. EHRN’s mission is to promote humane, evidence-based harm reduction approaches to drug use, with the aim of improving health and protecting human rights at the individual, community, and societal level. Considering EHRN’s focus on promotion of health and human rights of people who use drugs, the Network’s distinctive approach to TB in the region links TB advocacy with advocacy for drug policy reform. Issues related to TB are featured in EHRN’s high-level and national advocacy work on drugs and HIV. Having established itself as a regional source of technical support and expertise on harm reduction, via the Knowledge Hub EHRN is well equipped to support and strengthen local advocacy groups as they take new issues in the field of TB/MDR-TB. |
