Organization Description: |
MOSEP is a nonprofit organization that aims to contribute to the elimination of poverty in the Southern Mindanao. The main focus is on Health, WASH, Advocacy,and Protection of people affected by conflict and natural calamities. MOSEP hasan ongoign partnership with the WHOin the Philippines on organizing communities to form a health referral team that will be responsible for case finding of sick people and referring them to the health units, supervising their treatments and ensuring that the communties are educatied on specific diseases like TB, Infant and young childhood diseases, reproductive health issues and lyfestyle diseases. Trainings and health awareness sessions are done by the team to the different organized groups in the communities targeted. MOSEP hope to contribute to the National TB Programmes TB control and prevention by ocntinuing its TB educatio and mobilisation sessions, conduct case finding and oversee treatment and support the initiatives of the Department of health on TB Control through media advocacy and conduct of TB events like caravan, symposium, small group discussions. |

TB Care Delivery: Informing communities of the DOTS facility in their locality and the nearest microscopy referral unit; creating referral mechanism for easy access to microscopy and treatment
Drug-Resistant TB: Referral of case who have been udnergoing treatment for further evaluation
TB-HIV: Would like to engage in this should Funds be available
Fundamental Research: To be able to do an indepth analysis of the current TB situation and the barriers of effective case finding and complete treatment, be able to reduce the social stigma attached to TB
