AIDS Alliance in Nigeria (AAN) formerly known, as Nigeria AIDS Alliance is a national non-profit, non-religious, non political and non-governmental organization formed by a group of people living with HIV/AIDS in December 1999 and incorporated in July of 2002 as an incorporated trustee in Nigeria, AAN was formed to restore hope to People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria by: Advocating for their rights; Institutionalizing sustainable treatment services, Empowering PLWHA and Strengthening PLWHA organizations. AAN vision is a Nigeria society free of HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria infection, and increased access to care support for all infected persons. AAN Goal is to work towards the reduction of HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria infection and the provision of care and support to people infected with and affected. AAN is a PLHIV focus organization, and TB is one of the co-infections people living with HIV/AIDS suffer. with TB control AAN has since 2005 has being strengthening PLHIV support groups and CBOs to advocate to improve access to treatment and related services.AAN is represented in the Lagos state TB Advocacy communication and social mobilization work group. |
