Brethren Care and Community Empowerment Foundation (BCCEF) was formed in 2009 but it fully registered with the ministry of internal affairs in 2011 with registration number S.5914/9409. Aware of the many unemployment problems among the youth, poverty, destitute needy and orphaned children in the country brought about by the HIV/AIDS and civil strife in the country and aware of that there are efforts through government and non-government organizations to ensure a bright and stable future for the new generation, mindful of the freedom to associate granted by the Uganda constitutional and our inspiration for social and community based development, justice, peace, and national prosperity. BCCEF is interested in TB because; Due to the fact that TB in most cases is as a result of HIV/AIDS and we are dealing directly with HIV/AIDS victims, therefore BCCEF would like to improve on the awareness, treatment and care for TB patients in order to give them hope of life after acquiring the disease
BCCEf is doing / planning to do the following for TB control -BCCEF is carrying out community mobilization about the effects of HIV/AIDs . - BCCEF carrys out referral of HIV/AIDs and TB patients for treatment to the nearest Health centers. - Empowerment of HIV/AIDs and TB victims. |
