DEWAH is a Pashto language word which means lamp used for light purpose in Pashtun homes at nights.In 2005, the agonies of the nation, exploitation and deprived living patterns were the prior consideration of a group of visionary, who grouped together to effort for the appraisal of the people of KPK and FATA, with a participatory development approach striving for collaborative efforts in accordance to realize sustainable development at grassroots level. Their association later on converted to a scientific movement then named, DEWAH which identified, influenced and acquired young professionals from the locality and groomed them through capacity building exercises and exposure to analyze local needs and potentials and strategize for these.
