Organization Description:
Health and Sustainability for all (HASFA) was established in 2004 and gained its full registration in 2005. It was started by a team of health workers, teachers and other community development officers with one of the core values of eliminating health hazards and the provision of basic health services to the community. The organization has registration numbers under the organization statute1989 NO S591/5527 and CD/CBO28. Currently, the organization is working in Africa, Uganda in particular and in the western part of the country.
Uganda is one of the highest burden countries in Africa with TB and now has even more MDR cases at a high rate. Coupled with HIV,TB accelerates the death of most paients in the western region of Uganda and the kabarole district.

We are developing a proposal geared towards using the community arm in early detecting of TB and referral of all suspected cases. We are continuing to mentor health workers to the lowest cadre in using the TB screening tool which the organization has further modified and translated in different languages for easy usage. We have also strengthened the network with the health district especially the DTLS. We are trying to do routine outreach and home visits to all suspected TB cases.
