Organization Description:
Journalists Against AIDS( JAAIDS)Nigeria is a media based non governmental organisation working in the area of HIV/AIDS and TB advocacy. Since 2003 JAAIDS has been actively involved in creating media awareness about TB through research,trainings and media advocacy. JAAIDS also anchored a Research on Civil Society Perspectives on TB through support from the Open Society Institute (OSI). Apart from hosting media roundtables around World TB day, JAAIDS is also actively involved with the Lagos State TB/HIV Working Group as well as the National TB/HIV Working Group of the NTBLCP

Through Media engagement - JAAIDS has been involved in coordinating media trainings on TB in collaboration with the NTBLCP under the Global Fund Round 5 Tb Project,JAAIDS also worked in implementing ACSM activities as the Sub Recipient under GF Round 5. JAAIDShas also been actively involved in integrating TB Training in its Treatment Literacy projects for PLHIV which focuses on Adherence Training

TB Care Delivery:
Media Training,Hosting of advocacy and roundtable meetings to draw public attention to TB, Development of TB Advocacy Booklet-What you need to know and Do about TB with Listing of DOTs Centres

TB-HIV:
Training on TB/HIV - Inclusion of TB treatment/adherence information in the Treatment Literacy trainings organised for PLHIV under its Access to Treatment projects as well as cobducted trainings on TB/HIV in specific Local Government Areas in Lagos State under the Global Fund TB Round 5 Project

Fundamental Research:
Conducted a research on Community Perspectives on TB/HIV in Nigeria with support from OSI, also involved in the KABP Study on TB/HIV research in Nigeria
