Organization Description:
Association of Pokhara University Public Health Students (APPS) is a non political and non profitable student’s organization established in January 2009 focused to serve the peoples in public health matters. It has conducted many health awareness programs in Lekhanath Municipality, even with in short duration of establishment the organization aims to enhance sustainable improvement on health status of community people through active community involvement. In the mountain kingdom of Nepal, one of the poorest countries in the world. Almost half of the over 20 million population are infected with TB. Of these, up to 90 000 people have active TB and there are 44 000 new cases of the disease every year. As being the student of Public health and our organization conduct various programs like awareness program, counseling program in community with the help of female community health volunteers and mothers group and our association also conduct various rallies regarding various health issues including importance of early Screening program Via DOTS Program.

TB Care Delivery:
Our Association has Successfully conducted various program in the field of Tuberculosis. Since from its establishment it has focused on Community involvement for the control of Tuberculosis in Nepal. It has conducted several seminar, Rallies, Poster Presentation Competition. Working together with Grass root level health man power has shown fruitful result in tuberculosis control.
